As well as letting our audience see these wonderful business owners, we hope this takes away some of the anxiety around making video. It also shows how a little education around video can go a long way to increasing your brand recognition.

Today, we’re looking at Rosehip + Rye, a catering and food delivery centred around “soul food from the New East”.

CLIENT: Rosehip + Rye

What began as a specialist food stall in Southbank Food Market and progressed to an events company, Rose + Rye now brings the best of Eastern food to Londoners.

BRIEF: Owners Karina and Katrina had decided to rebrand their company from Russian Revels to Rosehip + Rye and needed a strong visual identity to do so. They wanted to launch with confidence and ensure that they had impact and visibility to establish themselves as a catering and events company online.

It was vital to capture the magic of their food and events through video. They also wanted to continue creating videos after the launch, so they could produce polished videos about their different events and launches.

Our Strategy

UFocus had been collaborating with Karina and Katrina for several years before this, creating video reports and promo videos to raise awareness of their company. They trusted Eugenia to advise on their visual strategy as they underwent a relaunch of their company.

A comprehensive shoot was planned to ensure Rosehip + Rye had slick footage for use on their website and social media platforms.

Karina and Katrina also decided on a video training workshop with Eugenia to help boost their confidence and learn more about creating professional video content using a smartphone, eliminating the need to buy expensive equipment


Karina and Katrina were delighted with the imagery captured to launch their rebranding. Not only that, but the video training gave them the confidence to consistently create videos themselves, only using their mobile phones.

Their rebrand was highly successful and they also discovered that creating more videos around their products and events led to their social media following soaring. Hundreds of their followers tune in to watch their videos. This is fantastic as it boosts Rosehip + Rye’s brand visibility and lets their customers get to know them. With nine out of ten people saying they want more video from brands, Rosehip + Rye is definitely delivering!
